Abrasives: Agate

White Boys appropriating indigenous art forms is a long-standing tradition in Art.  Being honest about it is not.  Native Americans in my region have executed Sand Paintings from the beginning.  I have chosen the industrial abrasive agate as the material for this painting to convey how grating it is on my Native American colleagues to have their sacred traditions appropriated.
